Thanking him for sending his monograph on the Vale of Heath , saying "I can imagine Parry's amusement at the tale of the Symphony," explaining that he did not sustain any injury in the taxi accident, expressing regret that the Birmingham performance of [Bach's] St. Matthew Passion did not go better, suggesting that Handels's choral effects, compared with Bach's "subtlety and elevation of mind and heart[,] are just a little Superficial," mentioning "the Prague Professor," etc.
